Most people would not trust medical advice or treatment from someone unqualified to be a doctor. Most people would trust a top Harvard graduate recognised as a medical expert. Credibility (who a person is) and qualifications (what they can do) matter in the world. When a person makes incredible claims and backs it up with verifiable action, we ought to pay attention, right?

God sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins, which is wonderful news for all sinners. However, Jesus was born to a virgin, in a manger, and is from a place that isn’t held in high esteem by the Israelites. It is no surprise many Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah when He began His earthly mission. Jesus claimed to be God and backed His claim by performing many miracles, but it wasn’t enough. It is no different today. Without the Spirit of God, a person cannot recognise that Jesus is not only God from the beginning but also their King, Lord, and Savior.

This Christmas, I pray that the Holy Spirit would remove the thick veil that dims your spiritual vision so that you can believe in Jesus and humbly accept Him as your God, King, Lord and Saviour.
