December 4

Most of us work so that we can meet our basic needs in life like food, clothing and shelter. We need these to survive, but food spoils, clothing wears out and most people are unable to afford their own homes. Even when we have all of the above in abundance, we feel empty.

Jesus declared that He is the Bread of Life, that those who turn to Him will never hunger or thirst. Jesus wasn’t saying that believing in Him would mean that we would no longer have physical needs, rather, relationship with Him meant we would no longer be empty, that our lives would have meaning and purpose.

This Christmas, I pray you will receive Jesus, the Bread of Life, so that you can become right with God and find meaning and purpose for your life as a child of God.
