If one were to look into the horrific atrocities that are committed daily, the violence that is perpetrated on all people, especially women and children, it would terrify most people and make them wonder how such darkness can exist in the world. This darkness is a result of sin.
The Bible tells us all things are made through Jesus, that He is the giver of life, and the light that should be in all. Sin in people brings about the terrible works of darkness we witness in the world, but when the Spirit is at work in a person, they are able to say yes to Jesus, causing the light of Christ to shine on them, and the darkness brought about by sin is unable to survive. Though we Christians still have the sin nature in us, the Spirit of Christ helps us to shine Christ’s light to those around us.
Have you placed your trust and faith in Jesus so that your sins are forgiven and the darkness that resulted from it is overpowered by the light of Christ?
