December 15

For the better part of our lives, all of us answer to someone who’s in a position of authority. It could be a parent, a teacher, a boss or any other person in a position of power. Being in a position of power doesn’t mean a person will fulfil their role faithfully and impartially. In fact, it’s not a stretch to say that power corrupts people and causes them to treat others poorly.

Jesus, though He was God, the King of kings, was humble in every way. He was born in a manger. He worked as a carpenter. He had an unremarkable appearance. He wasn’t wealthy. He never sinned. This Jesus died for our sins and invites us into relationship with Him. Jesus is the only One worthy of being our King, Lord, and Savior; He is just in judgement and righteous in character.

This Christmas, I pray you will place your trust and faith in Jesus so that He will take His rightful place as your righteous King.
