Everyone loves good news, especially when it has a direct impact on the person hearing it. There are all sorts of good news in the world, like being offered a job, having a successful medical procedure and learning one is cancer free, for example. On the rare occasion, the Good News in question can change the course of history.
In the Bible, we read about some lowly shepherds in Bethlehem having an incredible encounter. An angel from God gave them the greatest Good News ever, not only for them but for the whole world, which was the birth of Jesus the Messiah!
This Christmas, I pray that the Spirit of God will help you understand why the birth of Jesus is Good News to everyone, including yourself!
