It has been said that death and taxes are the only things certain in life. Some people maybe exempt from taxes, but all people are destined to die. For those who don’t believe in God, death is the end, and there’s nothing hereafter.
The Bible does say in Hebrews 9:27 that we’re destined to die once, but God’s Word also warns us that we’ll be judged afterwards! All of us who’ve placed our trust and faith in Jesus can rest in the fact that though we might die a physical death, our soul will spend eternity with God in heaven. Martha had lost her brother Lazarus, but she ran to Jesus and not only found comfort in Him, but confessed Christ as her Lord. It is tragic for those who reject Jesus, as they will die in their sins and be eternally separated from God’s love.
This Christmas, I pray you’ll place your trust and faith in Jesus, the One who died for your sins, who conquered death, the ONLY One through whom you can gain eternal life with God in heaven!
