Would you take a bullet for a stranger? Most people might sacrifice themselves for someone close to them but they would hardly consider dying for a stranger. There are those who will sacrifice their lives for a cause but there’s a selfish motivation in that they or someone close to them stands to gain something in return.
The Bible tells us that while we were far from Him, while we were totally ungodly and unworthy of someone sacrificing their life for us, Jesus, the Son of God Himself, the One who never did anything wrong, died for our sins! Jesus didn’t expect anything in return from us, nor could we ever give Him anything, being that He is God! Christ’s motivation for dying on the cross for our sins was His love for us!
This Christmas, I pray you will carefully consider how Jesus died for your sins to save you and turn to Him with a heart of gratitude and thanks, and be saved!
